In effect since: August 2026
spicychatai.me publishes comparisons, rankings and reviews of products and services run by other companies. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to data when you read those pages. It is short for a reason: we have no accounts, no logins, no shopping basket and no payments, so most of the data a website could ask for is data we simply never see.
What We Actually Collect
- Whatever you send us. If you write to [email protected] or use a contact form, we hold on to your message and whatever is in it — usually a name and an email address.
- Technical data about the visit. Your IP address, the browser and device you used, the pages you opened, how long you stayed, and the site or search that sent you here.
- Cookies and similar identifiers. Small files stored by your browser that let us count visits and remember settings between pages.
We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, your address, your payment details or any government identifier. Nothing on spicychatai.me requires them.
Why We Collect It
- To answer the messages people send us — we cannot reply without a reply address.
- To see which comparisons are read and which are ignored, so the next ones are better.
- To keep the site online, fast and free of abuse, and to investigate it when something breaks.
- To meet obligations the law places on us, and to defend ourselves if a legal claim ever arrives.
Where the law requires a legal basis for each of these, ours is our legitimate interest in running and improving an editorial website — except for non-essential cookies, which run on consent, and record-keeping the law itself demands.
Cookies
Some cookies are unavoidable: they hold the site together, remember that you already dismissed a banner, and help block automated abuse. Others are optional — analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used, and advertising cookies that may be set by partners whose offers appear in our tables.
Every current browser lets you see the cookies a site has stored, delete them, and refuse new ones. Refusing the essential ones will break parts of spicychatai.me; refusing the rest will not.
Who Else Sees It
Our hosting provider, our analytics provider and the advertising networks we work with process visit data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to that purpose. Beyond them, we disclose data only where a court or a competent authority requires it, where we need it to establish or defend a legal claim, or where the site itself changes hands — in which case the buyer inherits this notice along with everything else.
When you follow a link to one of the companies we compare, you leave spicychatai.me. From that click onwards you are dealing with them, under their privacy policy, and we have no visibility into and no control over what they collect.
How Long We Keep It
Correspondence stays with us while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you write again about the same thing. Analytics data is aggregated and kept for as long as year-on-year comparison is useful. Server logs are recycled within weeks unless a security investigation needs them.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us what data we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, object to what we are doing with it, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier. Residents of the EEA and the UK have these rights under the GDPR; residents of California, Virginia and a growing list of other US states have their own versions, including the right not to have personal data sold or shared for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data, and we do not knowingly process data about anyone under 18.
One email to [email protected] is enough to start any of these requests. We will not charge you for it, we will not treat you differently for having asked, and we aim to answer within a month.
Security and Location
The site runs on managed infrastructure with access limited to the people who maintain it, and traffic is encrypted in transit. That is a serious effort, not a guarantee — no site can promise that no transmission is ever intercepted. Our providers operate data centres in Europe and the United States, so data may be processed outside your own country under the safeguards those transfer rules require.
Changes
When this notice changes we replace it here and move the date at the top. Carrying on with spicychatai.me after that date means the new version is the one that applies to you. If a change is significant, we will say so rather than leave you to spot it.
Questions about any of the above go to [email protected].
